On Display: Vampirella

Poor, poor Vampirella. So sad. Even the half dead Autumn leaves remind her of the life she can never have. ANYWAY... She's good from far but far from good since the cast is still pretty rough - so no close ups on this one...

Okay one close up. Eeesh, so very rough o_O

  3. Beautifully done, man! The skin tone came out phenomenally, and the basing contrasts against the model off extremely well. Great work!

  4. Man, that is one sexy figure! mmmh

You did an excellent job painting it so it looks like natural light is hitting her. Great intro, appropriate angst.

Can't get over how sexy that figure is. Saving it for later. If you know what I mean. /wink

    1. AHHHH! TMI! TMI! AHHHHH! Lol :) Thanks, larger scales are so much harder to do. I really had no idea going into this. They are fun too though!

    2. She's a large scale model? I've been meaning to tackle them. Really want to do one. How tall is she?

    3. About 120mm so maybe like 5 or 5 1/2 inches tall. It's a whole new ball game at that level. Given natural your airbrushing talent you may really like it!

  5. Very nice Zab. Another lovely job. The tones really came out nice in the end. Quite a journey for sure!

  7. Astounding work, my man! The gritty and realistic base contrasts well against the cartoony colours of her skin and outfit. Once again, great job.

  8. You have done a lot of pieces that I like very much but this one must count as a new personal favourite. It's easy to make complicated sculpts look nice but very very hard to make the simple ones stand out and look good. You have done a great job on this one! :)

    1. Thank you! I'm not going to lie, the larger scale kits are hard and prep is everything. I like them, but it's a totally different set of skils. I plan for more in the future!
