WIP: Deathguard Test & MLP Repaint

Are you ready for priming Mr. Mahween? YOU KNOW IT PINKY PIE!
Lets get weird...

Lol, ah crap my mid and shade tone are the same value -_-   Oh well test piece. I'll fix it as I go!

Dad, I hate MLP. Can you make her look red and angry? Some one is too cool for MLP now. Not me! I'm not judging though...Preshading
Hmmm red angry pony. My Lttle Khornee it is. Needs an appropriate detail... any guesses?
BLOOD FOR THE BLOOD GOD!
SKULLS FOR THE SKULL THRONE!
Perftec. Now some subtle details and to make her red...

Next Post: We finish off this angry pony so that I can get back to the DG test piece!

Thanks for prancing through this magical WIP with me and remember; you can't spell paint without a little pain :)

  3. This is awesome! I often have multiple, very diverse topics on the painting desk myself. I find that they tend to progress at different paces from each other as I get into the swing of things on one and might add a follow on model(s) before quite finishing everything... but, when I fall into a rut or just want some time to think about where I'm going I hop back to the other for a bit and it keeps me working. Sometimes one even inspires something in the other... That pony pink might make a choice boil, pimple, or bubble for the Death Guard... just sayin!

  4. Your MLP repaint has me intrigued! I always love a good creative re-imagining of an off-the-shelf paint job. Make your daughter proud! :)

    1. Your repaints have been a huge inspiration to me :) I was surprised you didn't take part in the MV Disney infinity repaint challenge this year actually.
