How about a little video of the painting process of this project?
Next post: A little display video of this project in all it's finished HD glory. Thanks for watching! Questions comments and concerns below and remember; you can't spell paint without a little pain :)
Thanks, it was funny to see that massive filbert in there eh? Took me a while to trust the way of the Wappel. I'm shocked by how ell it works though :P
Watching James work is just incredible. There are no words really. He's just like "la da da da, I'll put some of this here, and some of that there" and in seconds the model is more done then greggles spending a week.
Awesome work Zab. Wow if I did a video you guys would think I was crazy hectic...you are so calm in the voiceover.
Nice one Zab. I am amazed at how you managed to keep it well in frame while painting. I would have been all over the place. No surprise that I still haven't figured out how to do a how-to video yet ... oh the irony, you have to pardon the wordsmith in me ;)
Thanks! Just keep trying new things and it will come. I always do better when i let go and experiment with new techniques. I think fear holds us back a bit with our painting. There's nothing that can't be stripped and repainted :)

Thanks :) It's easy to be calm in hindsight. The actual video sounds a lot more like me listening to an audio book while i paint o_O

ReplyDeleteThank you. Staying in frame is brutal. There were a lot of shots of the back of my hand or the side of my head that just didn't make the cut :P
DeleteWish i could paint as well as that like ;)
