Not sure why I thought a small mini with a limited palette would be a nice relaxing project -_- It'sa good exercise, but not all that relaxing. Anyway onward...

WIP: My First Historical Mini

So this is the result after 1 hour of complete panic during a speed painting challenge that our local painting club held. It was so much fun and hilarity ensued. Suffice to say: retarder and speed paint - not really good friends o_O Anyway as a break after Helion Rain I am going to strip him and have another go, but without the time limits! This will be a shorter post, BTW.

This will be quick. Pigment wash above. Then I clean it off with warm water a little disposable foam makeup applicators :) Looks like hell now but after the jump the effect is knocked back and then even more when it's sealed...

 Picking up with the base it was time to detail things a bit. Above I made the brick and copper drain pipe pop with some glazes. Then we finished it up. Still with bigger brushes and it will also go fast :P

He's done. Lascannons and Autocannons are magnetized. So are all the head options. He's painted to display quality, but has 3 coats of Dullcote so you can totally game with him too :)  More pretty pictures then?
