That is absolutely fantastic - Loving the depth on the purple and the leather, simply awesome!
ReplyDeleteThanks man! Stole the leather technique from Ben's shield maiden bust ;). The purple satin was all me though! She picked up a horrible mention at the IPMS show in Hamilton last weekend too and is currently making her way to her new owner :)
DeleteS.T.U.N.N.I.N.G!
ReplyDeleteThank you, sir :)
DeleteThe purple is define Zab. I can see the misses requesting that color on a dress the second I show her this piece of yours. Such a great choice of colors!
ReplyDeleteThanks! scale 75 inktense violet. I'm sure all the dress makers have that one on standby in their color swatches :)

ReplyDeleteAwesome work! The purple is just perfect :)
ReplyDeleteThanks!
DeleteGreat work overall but I like the eyes the most. Makes her come alive. Did you happen to use gloss varnish on them?
ReplyDeleteI did, there are several finishes of varnish on the whole piece. gloss for the eyes and lenses, satin for the leather and hair and then a mix of satin and matte for the skin and then matte for the shirt. It's another way to reinforce contrast on a piece. You can use color, texture and finish as contrast!
