WIP: Historical Mini Part 3

First project of the new year!  I got some color back into him by glazing with primaries...

Next it was onto the yellow trim and wood stock on the gun.

I forgot to take pics of the NMM. It was black white and a touch of brown. Anyways here he is ready for basing...
Added some grass...
And of course some light pigments...

That's it! It was freaking hard to do with the limited palette and I certainly won't win any awards for historical accuracy or blending. I feel like I am done with 28mm, like I'm losing patience with it? Is that weird? I like the bigger scales and busts and the smaller scales feel like maybe I should save 'em for gaming level painting.

Next post: Display pics.

Thanks for stopping by, let me know what you think and remember; you can't spell paint without a little pain.

    1. I hear ya. I'm all for changing things up cause you never know what will inspire you or what you were missing, but yeah, short of ninja's or knights I'll be sticking with fantasy or scifi myself :)

  2. Looks good dude. Always nice to have a change of theme as well once in a while :)

    1. Thanks, it's a good way to stretch your skills and learn new things :)

By all means have your say, but please keep it civil.
