WIP: Viking Bust In Grumbacher Artist Acrylics

This was very fast and lots of fun. Highly recommend trying our artist acrylics. They are oddly fast to work with if you like to wet blend and work with thicker paint.

Each pic is one or two sessions with about 10 - 30 min of quick work each session!

Preshade was about 5 min!

Face and hair 20 min each, leather and horns sketch 10 min
Leather 10 min, fur sketch 5 min
Cloak sketch 15 min
NMM Sketching 2 sessions 30 min each
Total time with final touches and sealing is around 5 hours!
Ooof! that last pic isn't too good. Pretty pictures next post.

Next project? Space Vikings VS Space Monsters!

Thanks for stopping by, let me know what you think and remember; you can't spell paint without a little pain ;)

    1. Thanks but honestly, between the sculpt and then workability of the paints it was fun and fairly effortless - no one is more shocked than i :)

  2. It came out really well, bravo. Paints and sculpt aside it was your skill that turned that out, don't be too modest.

    1. Thanks so much. I guess I am at a point where i can just free style stuff and mix colors and it was such a gradual thing that i dint notice. But yeah, I am at a very comfortable place with my art now where i can just have fun and try things without fear or pressure. Which actually makes you progress faster. Who knew!

By all means have your say, but please keep it civil.
